Radiator busted. Got zero notice. Light came on the dash and two seconds later steam and water shooting out of my car. I had the dog in the car, and had just bought a twelve pack of beer and a half gallon of liquor. It took me over an hour to figure out and get hold of somebody that could come pick me up.
I was probably 6 or 7 miles from home. I thought I was going to half to walk. Imagine me, with my big ol dog, a twelve pack of beer and a handle of liquor staggering down the road. That wouldn't have been pretty. It's been a nightmare today though. Finally found somebody that would work on my car and got it towed over there. Had a friend giving me a ride. We went to seven rental car places and NOBODY had any cars left because of the holiday weekend. I was starting to panic because I thought I was literally going to be stuck at home all weekend! Went to an Enterprise in Decatur and they told me they didn't have any cars either. I was like "look dude you don't understand! I'm in serious trouble here. I'm begging you!" Damn....he must have felt sorry for me because he said give me a few minutes. That fucker came back five minutes later with the keys to a sporty red Ford Focus.

Damn man. I guess I've been lucky since I haven't had that kind of a problem. Timing sucks since it's a holiday weekend and all.
Sounds like you got it all worked out though, so that's good. |
