790 The Zone launches Young Guns Show
ATLANTA, GA (July 1, 2010) -- Big League Broadcasting-owned-Sports Radio 790 The Zone -- Atlanta’s leading sports talk radio station for the past 13 years -- recently announced plans for a talent search to give two young sports fans the chance of a lifetime.
Sports Radio 790 the Zone has launched a talent search to find two twenty something’s that can bring a fresh new vibe to Sports Radio. The “Young Guns” search is looking for a wide range of personalities: everything from the straight-edged sports numbers guy to the beer-funneling, sports-loving recent college grad who answers to no one.
Starting July 5th through July 15th 790 the Zone will be accepting applications online at YoungGunsAtl.com or 790thezone.com to participate in an open on air audition in front of Programming Director Matt Edgar, and Zone personality Steak Shapiro. The audition will eventually have 4 finalists competing against each other on the morning show, Mayhem in the AM. for a chance to host The Zones hot new product…the Young Guns Show.
Matt Edgar-Program Director: “What we are looking for is that young sports lover with passion that is hip, has swagger and can hold his own against established sports talk radio icons.”
790 the Zone has always been on the cutting edge of finding and developing top local and national talent with many of The Zone personalities appearing on numerous local and national outlets. This is an opportunity of a life time that could jump start a career in the sports media industry.
