CMR confirmed that they're working Samuel to linebacker and we'll probably see him |

Might work good in a 3-4. It will be fun to see for sure.

Samuel will be a great linebacker imo. Size, speed, and loves contact!!

Agreed 95. He just ran way to upright and couldn't hold onto the ball to be a good running back. |

Read a good take on this subject on another blog and can't find where I read it to post the link. Anyway, he said despite dissapointment with this class, one good bit of recruiting news was that we added another 5 star recruit at linebacker by switching Samuel. Good point.

UGA 95 wrote:Did he play linebacker in addition to playing running back in high school? While he may be a 5 star running back, he may only be a 2 or 3 star linebacker.... Sorry...been reading the vent too much. |

I found a video of him on rivals and the caption says that he "shines as RB and LB."
Looks pretty good in the clips so I guess that blows my criticism out of the water. |

dncdawg wrote: Yeah, I found a recruiting page on him that had him listed as "athlete" could play linebacker or RB. Saw a little bit of footage on him playing defense, although most of it was him running the ball. He flys around the field and ain't afraid to hit somebody at all! GATA!! |

If I remember correctly, he was projected to be a better LB than RB.
